Mill near Mayenne
We looked at this mill the other day, it's about 12 minutes from the town of Mayenne, out in the sticks. Not for us, but the location is wonderful. The mill wheel is still present, but needs repair, and is mounted on a modern metal shaft and what I take to be a ball race.

A lovely setting....
No water mills that I can see in Costa rica...I suppose the variation in flow would not make it interesting.
I'm not sure that mossies are a problem in running water, but I could be wrong. There could be midges, but there are ways of combatting them. If there are pools where the water runs slowly, frogs might be a bit noisy
Wow - looks fab; and that price too; just about enough for a studio in Morzine! Did I tell you I now split time between Wales and Haute Savoir - having bought a beautiful if very old (read never ending project..) chalet in the Alps.
Hi Mark, no I didn't know you had a place in the Savoie. I hope the project does end one day!
